Little Italy Favorites: Maggiano’s Wine & Stuffed Pastas

Julia Child said it best, “Wine is meant to be with food – that is the point of it.” Our resident Sommelier agrees and has shared some of her favorite pairings from our wine menu.

Casoncelli with Four-Cheese & Ham
Candy wrapper shaped pasta with Shaved Black Truffle, Fontina and Grana Padano Parmesan Cheese, Nueske Smoked Ham, Spinach & Garlic Cream Sauce
Pair with “Centine,”Banfi – an old world Italian red OR Tempranillo, Glorioso, Reserva – a Spanish red.

Smoked Brisket Cannelloni
Cannelloni filled with Slow-Smoked Brisket, Fontina & Grana Padano Parmesan Cheese, Caramelized Onion, Swiss Chard, Roasted Butternut Squash and Diavolo Sauce
Pair with Charles Smith, “Boom Boom,” Syrah (don’t you love the name?!) OR Tamari, “Reserva,” Malbec

Chicken & Mushroom Stuffed Shells
