Maggiano’s Favorite 2017 Wedding Trends

Engaged? Congratulations! There are so many exciting trends already popping up that we’re thrilled to share our favorite 2017 wedding trends with you. Read on and happy planning!

Brunch is best – Imagine caramelized French toast, fully loaded omelets, coffee cakes, mimosas, bellinis, and bloody mary bars any time of day. Need we say more?

Let’s hear it for the boys – Groom and groomsmen fashion is just as much a centerpiece as bridal and bridesmaid fashion, and we’re seeing cool vests and personalized ties. Burgundy and gray tuxedos are replacing the black and blue hues of years past.

It’s all in the look – It’s all about effortless, clean lines. Mixing and matching centerpieces, and romantic lighting like chandeliers and candles set the vibe.

Family style dining – All of your favorite comfort foods, beautifully displayed in the center of the table. There’s something intimate yet relaxed about sharable dishes, and what a great conversation starter for all of your guests.

Signature sweets – Dessert is becoming a huge part of weddings, and we’re talking way beyond the big cake. Desserts are being displayed on a grand scale with a variety of sweets. And good news for the sweet tooth, they are being served throughout the reception – not just after the cake cutting!

The copper cup – you’ll see a lot more classic cocktails and cool garnishes pop up at the bar this year. Maybe it is the copper cup, but the Moscow Mule (aka the Mulo Romano) has taken weddings by storm!

Save the last dance – we all are familiar with the last dance, but what about a final last dance for two? After the last dance, all guests are escorted to the send-off location while the newlyweds enjoy a moment alone to dance to another tune.
