Romantic Recipes for Valentine’s Day – Part 2

Did Tuesday’s romantic recipes for Valentine’s Day inspire you? From our table to yours, please enjoy part two: pasta course; dessert; and cocktail for two.

Third Course
Angel Hair Aglio Olio

½ lb Angel hair pasta
2 Tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves Garlic, minced
½ cup Fresh parsley, chopped
1 Tbsp Butter
½ cup Pasta water
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Follow angel pasta directions to cook to your liking – remember to reserve ½ cup of pasta water. While pasta is cooking, add olive oil and garlic in a large skillet on low heat. Cook for 3 minutes. Add pasta water and bring to a simmer on medium heat. Add pasta and coat noodles. Remove from heat and add parsley, parmesan, and butter. Serve immediately.

Fourth Course
Chocolate Pot de Crème with White Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate Pot de Crème
½ cup Heavy whipping cream
½ cup Whole milk
6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate
3 egg yolks
1 Tbsp Gran Marnier
1 Mango, diced ½”
2 Tbsp Pistachios, toasted
4 tart shells, ramekins or cups

Bring milk and cream to a simmer. Stir in egg yolks gently and cook over low flame for 3-5 minutes until if coats back of spoon. Add semi-sweet chocolate, strain through colander and chill slightly. In a tart shell, ramekin or cup, place 2 tablespoons of diced fresh mango. Cover with chocolate mixture. Garnish with chilled White Chocolate Mousse and toasted pistachios.

White Chocolate Mousse
5 oz White chocolate, melted
2 Tbsp Warm water
1 cup Heavy cream

PLEASE NOTE: best prepared the night before or at least 8 hours in advance of serving. Warm the white chocolate over double boiler or water bath. When melted, add warm water and mix well with whisk. Whip cream to stiff peaks and mix half of white chocolate mixture and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
